NOTE: I have had requests from some owners not to post their phone number or contact info - there have been some crack pots (shame on you) calling and messing with the owners - these folks are serious about offering their coach and do not wish to deal with tire kickers, salesmen or chiselers. If you are truly interested in one of these coaches, please have the courtesy to not harass these good people. A weird statement to make but it seems that it is necessary.

Mechanical Review
One of the most important things to do when looking to purchase a GMC is to investigate the overall mechanical condition of the coach BEFORE you make the purchase. Sure these coaches have age and there will be many things you will probably need to do to the coach after the purchase to bring it up to your reliable condition but there are some issues you need to guard yourself from or at least know going in will need attention. the first total restoration I did here at the Co-op back in 1998, it brings
back old memories and along with the recent "speed racer" coach I worked
over yours and it were my roots. Good to see it has been kept so well.

Our personal GMC for 6 years and 6000 miles and a great GMC for the first time RV buyer. Moving up to a 76 GMC. This GMC is ready to go anywhere. Prior owner had 455c.i. engine rebuilt and it runs very well. Trans shifts smoothly and final drive/axles/CV joints are
excellent. Recent upgrades: new 2-way refrigerator(unused), repl.dip stick tube(was broken), water pump, upper and lower radiator hoses(nothing wrong, just preventive maint.), alternator, all belts(preventive maint.), under hood automatic fire extinguisher(no fires, precaution), KYB shocks(front); roof A/C; 4Kw Onan maintenance. 26 ft 1975 GMC Eleganza. I
don't want to part with it, but my fiance and I are having our first baby soon
and I need money for the nursery more than I need my festival vehicle. Has an
oldsmobile 454 big block engine with only 59,000 miles!!! Motor had 5k worth of
work done a few years ago. Runs great! Needs new batteries, an
oil change, and could probably use some TLC. Has a bathroom w/shower,
stove/oven, fridge, microwave, queen-sized bed, table and benches. The rear
window has a great 180 degree view. Sleeps 6 comfortably. The engine is in great
shape, but the inside needs remodeling. Basically, it needs new carpet, new
drapes, a new fridge, and a new toilet (old one leaks). Asking $7500 obo. We can

Rebuilt from bow to stern in 2004-2005, she has a rebuilt transmission, new fuel lines, fuel tank senders in cleaned tanks and stainless lines. Brakes all rebuilt, shoe size increased on rears, new bags, stainless brake lines, master cylinder, brakes, boots etc on front. Dash air blows cold, new compressor, added electric fan on radiator. Both rooftop a/c's work great. New two way Norcold, fit into original opening, paneled in wood to match original refinished cabinets. New rooftop fans, new Zip Dee awnings both sides, Ragusa step, rechromed bumpers, through bumper class 3 hitch, all new Aircraft paint in original colors. New carpet, closely resembling original, original upholstery nice and clean, looks great. Has original microwave/convection oven, cooktop, all working great, as is the central vacuum. New headliner, new wood blinds from same manufacturer as originals, still running in the aluminum side hugging tracks. KVH A5 in motion satellite dish, Sharp 13 inch flat screen, CD/DVD player by Pioneer, hidden in overhead cabinet behind driver. Alcoa Hotshot wheels, Bridgestone tires, all clearance and side marker lights replaced with originals. kept in indoor sealed storage.
